The Cold Drop Gin Story – How it all started

Voyage, voyage, aauuuuuffffstehen…. This is how the captain greeted us in his morning speech. Admittedly, we were often still in bed and started the day with a smile at the wake-up call and the forecast from Hugo, the weatherman. Quietly, quietly, quietly…. we glided gently across the water. As always, people who fit together well automatically meet up on such trips. We quickly became part of a clique that laughed a lot and had a lot of fun together.
Many days at sea on the Atlantic lay ahead of us. We bridged these with tastings and workshops from almost all areas of the culinary world. We learned how to knead pasta dough and stir the corresponding pestos, make strudel, bake bread, mix cocktails and much more.
As long-time gin lovers, we were thrilled with the gin workshop and the seed was sown and began to sprout in our heads. The gourmet manager (yes, there really is such a thing!) on board, Tamer from Türkiye, took every question seriously and selflessly passed on his knowledge. The first attempts were very exciting.
The idea of making our own gin when we got back home was quickly born.

A total crazy idea at the beginning….
But back in everyday life, we actually started experimenting. The first attempts were interesting, but still far removed from our ideas. After countless attempts, we finally developed a promising gin.

A distiller friend offered us the use of his still for a trial run on 19.04.2022. The result is fantastic. We are thrilled! But it’s not enough that it only tastes good to us. Friends are recruited for tastings and we present our gin to a renowned gin sommelier. The feedback encouraged us and motivated us to go into production so that you can enjoy it too!

This is how “The Blue Drop” and its strong brother “The Blue Drop – Navy Strength” were created, which we really want to share with you.

The Cold Drop Gin Story – What happened next

After a year and the success of our gin, we decided it was time to create something new. We talked to many of you and collected wishes and ideas. With a lot of patience and high expectations of the result, we have incorporated these into a new product. It was clear to us from the start that it had to be something special. Just like gin lovers are something special.

The result is a product that has been developed and refined with great attention to detail. That’s why the gin had to be given a special name.

Gold is associated with sunshine and is considered the color of gods, emperors and kings. Gold is the epitome of sunlight and has always given people great strength and extraordinary inspiration.
This gave rise to the name “The Gold Drop”, which describes its precious ingredients and its value. Its taste and color will impress you and it will certainly be a highlight in your bar.

We are delighted with your feedback and are very pleased that you like our gins so much.

With a great deal of commitment, we have once again been able to create a special gin for you.
First of all, its name: “The Ocean Drop”

We have succeeded in combining Caribbean flavors and also crowning this gin with a fantastic WOW effect.

This gin will greet you with a hint of sun-ripened coconut, a hint of pineapple and other flavors on the tongue.

As soon as you combine it with your favorite tonic, it will change its typical blue, as we know it from the world’s oceans, for you. A turquoise color will appear before your eyes, the likes of which cannot be found on the world’s most beautiful beaches.
You are holding a gin and tonic in your hand that will immediately put you in the vacation mood!
